The Visionary and Pioneer
Rene Michel Jules Goueth, age 70, passed away in Los Angeles on March 4, 2026. Born in Cameroon on July 6, 1955, Rene was a man of immense intellect and a pioneering spirit. As the eldest of nine children, he stepped into the role of leader early in life, eventually charting a course from Cameroon to the United States. He served as the vital anchor for the siblings and nephews who followed him to Los Angeles, providing the foundation for them to build their own futures.
A Career of Precision and Innovation
A man of science and strategy, Rene’s professional life was defined by his work as an Engineer at Boeing. In a city synonymous with the frontiers of flight, he possessed a sharp mind for complex systems and the rigorous discipline of engineering. This same drive led him into entrepreneurship, where he applied his technical expertise to building his own business ventures. He was a formidable presence in the Los Angeles professional community, known for
his relentless work ethic and traditional values.
"James Brown" and the Radiant Smile
Beyond the blueprints and business meetings, Rene was a man of rhythm and warmth. In his youth, his passion for the dance floor was so legendary that he earned the nickname "James Brown." He loved to dance, and when he moved, he carried an energy that was impossible to ignore. Those who knew him will most remember his huge, unmistakable smile, a radiant expression that truly lit up every room he entered.
Family and Legacy
Rene’s legacy is one of labor, provision, and opportunity. He is survived by his four daughters: Antoinette, Noni, Shalanie, and Wendy; his nine grandchildren; and the siblings and nephews for whom he paved the way. He was preceded in death by his two loving parents, Jean de Dieu and Cecile, whose values he carried with him across oceans. While a man of complex nature, his impact is undeniable—seen in the family he brought together, the businesses he built, and the vibrant memory of him dancing with that trademark smile.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Rene’s honor. Family and friends are invited to join in remembering his journey and his spirit.
